Africa Week at the University of Leeds warmly invites participation from local and international African and diasporic communities, university partners, leaders in Higher Education and business, policymakers, academic researchers and students. The program aims to celebrate Africa in its promise, diversity, capacities, and excellence, gather community across perspectives, invite imagination and reflection, prompt new conversations and build lasting relationships.
The event is hosted through a collaboration of researchers, partners and practitioners, including the University’s Centre for African Studies (LUCAS), Cultural Institute, Africa Strategy Group and Leeds University Union.
Africa Week is to provide a collaborative space for scholars, researchers, practitioners and policy makers, working in and with African institutions, to showcase their research and scholarship. There will be opportunities to debate ideas, identify challenges, and find ways of making knowledge exchange.
