Speakers:

  • Dr Dániel Tokody: first-generation member of the Doctoral School of Safety Sciences (BDI) at Óbuda University, and one of the initiators and co-founders of the BDI Doctoral Meetings. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Military Technical Sciences. His research specializes in the development of intelligent railway IT, critical infrastructure, and security systems.
    Throughout his professional career, he has gained investment, project coordination, and expert experience both in industry and across the transport and critical infrastructure sectors (MÁV Zrt., Chinese-Hungarian Railway Nonprofit Ltd.). He is the author of numerous railway safety educational materials, instructional films, and technical publications. As a former President of DOSZ (National Association of Doctoral Students), he played a decisive role in preparing the Cooperative Doctoral Program (KDP).
    He is also a co-inventor of a patent related to an intelligent integrated railway surveillance equipment.
    Since the establishment of the BDI, he has been actively involved in doctoral community building, providing professional support to young researchers and Ph.D. students, transferring scientific and practice-oriented engineering knowledge, and nurturing the next generation of scholars.
  • Dr. Döniz Borsos: Throughout her supervisory activities, she has guided more than 100 BSc/MSc theses and over 40 TDK (Students’ Scientific Association) research papers. Two-thirds of the TDK papers she supervised achieved award-winning places. She served as the advisor to multiple students who earned first and second places, special awards, and industry special prizes at the National Scientific Students’ Association Conference (OTDK).
    She held several leadership roles at the Kandó Kálmán College for Advanced Studies, serving as President between 2022 and 2023, and currently works as a Grant Project Manager and Coordinator of the Industry 4.0 and IoT Research Club. Since 2025, she has been the TDK Coordinator at the Department of Instrumentation and Automation. Since 2025, she has also served as Vice President responsible for TDK and College for Advanced Studies relations within the Department of Engineering Sciences at the National Association of Doctoral Students (DOSZ MTO).
  • Márk Tamás Baross: Assistant Professor at the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Óbuda University, and a Ph.D. student at the Doctoral School of Safety Sciences. Throughout his teaching and supervisory activities, he has guided more than 40 BSc/MSc theses and 29 TDK (Students’ Scientific Association) research papers. Among the TDK papers he supervised, 15 achieved award-winning places. In 2025, he was awarded the Pro Scientia Gold Medal based on his overall scientific achievements.
    Since 2024, he has contributed to the educational and research activities of Óbuda University as an Assistant Professor, and since 2025, he has served as the TDK Coordinator at the Department of Telecommunications and Infocommunications. Additionally, as the coordinator of the Telecommunication Network Designer postgraduate program, he coordinates the academic and organizational responsibilities of the program.
    His research focuses on the security of IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT) systems, the assessment of security risks and vulnerabilities in heterogeneous IoT devices, and security issues in telecommunications and network systems. As the coordinator of Óbuda University’s ESA RAVEN research project, he oversees the technical and organizational coordination of R&D tasks.
    Alongside his teaching and research work, he actively contributes to student talent management, supporting TDK research activities, and advancing practice-oriented engineering education.
  • Dr. Yue WU (Joy): Alumna of the Doctoral School of Safety Sciences (BDI), having successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation in 2025. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the BDI Alumni Chapter and works as a lecturer/researcher at Óbuda University. During her doctoral studies, she served as the Chinese Ambassador of DOSZ (National Association of Doctoral Students) and has been the President of the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Óbuda University since 2020, actively supporting the integration of international students and fostering Hungarian-Chinese academic relations.
