Absolutorium

The final certificate (absolutorium) certifies the fulfillment of the requirements of the study obligation, scientific research work and class attendance prescribed in the curriculum, the successful passing of the prescribed exams with the exception of the language exam, and the acquisition of the 240 credit points prescribed in the requirements, which certifies without qualification and evaluation that the doctoral student has fulfilled the training requirements prescribed for him in all respects. Credits can be obtained in the training based on the following activities:

  • studies, i.e. completion of courses;
  • research activity;
  • teaching activity

The fulfillment of the 240 credit points is checked by the Doctoral School staff member in charge of administration and approved by the Council of the Doctoral School. The absolutorium is issued by the head of the Doctoral School in the event of a positive decision by the Council of the Doctoral School. On the day the absolutorium is completed and signed, the doctoral student’s student status is terminated. The absolutorium is a requirement for applying for a doctoral degree, but it does not certify either a qualification or a doctoral degree.
