Welcome to the website of the Doctoral School for Safety and Security Sciences. Our website is constantly improving. Here you will find all information you may need since attendance of the school up to doctorate inauguration.

The Doctoral School for Safety and Security Sciences launched its application for accreditation in November 2011. The Hungarian Accreditation Committee approved doctoral studies and award of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree on 24th February 2012.

Our ​​core members nominated the research in the safety and security science as one of the most important for the national and international scientific community.

Our goal is to provide training and research opportunities for young people interested in this area of research with the aim to gain the doctoral (PhD) academic degree.

OE-BDI / DOSZ-MTO / DOSZ-HTO  Community Event

PhD students of the Doctoral School on Safety and Security Sciences (BDI), together with the DOSZ Technical Sciences Section (MTO) and the DOSZ Military Sciences Section (HDO), are organizing the “Aviation and Helicopter Day” on October 11, 2025, at Hármashatárhegyi Airport in Budapest.
The event aims to bring together doctoral students and interested participants in an inspiring and informal setting, exploring the world of aviation and safety technology.
Participation is free – everyone is warmly welcome!

We hereby inform you that the Doctoral School on Safety and Security Sciences will observe an administrative and procedural recess between July 14 and August 22, 2025. During this period, in-person administration is only possible by prior appointment.
